I know it's been released on Blu-ray in Japan back in 2011, and released singularly in Japan back in December 2015 but any mention or talk of a US/UK release of the series on Blu-ray I recently got The Incredible Hulk TV series on blu-ray another Universal show
I'd absolutely love to see Columbo getting a nation wide release. it's about time..

I got the 70s boxed set of Columbo on Kino Lorber blu ray at a great price. Hardly any special features. The video quality is much better on Amazon Prime so we ended up watching the first seven seasons on that instead.
Disappointing set. It does come with a nice booklet and the box it comes in has nice art of Columbo.
The first seven seasons are superb. Peter Falk is brilliant, the stories are mostly excellent, there are some tremendous guest star villains like Patrick McGoohan (appeared in two episodes), William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Jack Cassidy (appeared in three episodes), Ruth Gordon, Donald Pleasance, Dick Van Dyke, Janet Leigh, Nicol Williamson and even Johnny Cash. I am sure I'm missing several. And there were plenty of supporting actors like Jamie Lee Curtis, Leslie Nielsen, Walter Koenig, Kim Catrall, Bruno Kirby, Julie Newmar, Lesley Ann Warren, Martin Milner and many others.
Prime only has seasons 1-7 but Tubi has the entire series so just started season 8 there.

Got the whole series on DVD for under fifty bucks (including taxes) at WalMart, which is good enough for me.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
