<p dir="auto">They can easily go back and re-shoot the things that were edited out.  Most of this can be done (cheaply) with insert shots.  You do not need to see the entire actors body when Jason kills them.  They could also use body doubles.  Shooting these scenes would only take a few days.  Editing who knows.  It should be done.</p>

<p dir="auto">I'd rather they just do what MBV did. Clean up the cut kills as nicely as possible then insert them and just accept the drop in video quality.</p>

<p dir="auto">I agree there needs to be a definitive version of this film. The studios unfortunately don't care. But there was a cool fan edit (in poor quality however) that inserted the cut scenes back in without the time codes almost seamlessly. It was called the Uncut Recut. I don't have a link but it's the best we can get for now. I seriously have no idea why the RIAA was so strict when this film came out. The earlier films' theatrical cuts were more violent.</p>
