This new comedy series about an aging Vegas comedian on the cusp of a failing career and the young writer who comes on board to punch up her act has a lot of potential. Jean Smart, formerly from Designing Women, is a force to be reckoned wtih as Deborah Vance, the acid-witted star of the series.
The show has "Emmy" written all over it as Jean Smart delivers a charmingly acerbic performance. Worth a watch if you are looking for a sharp comedy.
