About 4 episodes in, digging it so far. But one thing I've noticed is that there isn't really a single character that I like completely. Lacy and Zoe POSSIBLY but there's something about both of them that rubs me the wrong way. The teacher seems like a closet psychopath. The whole Adama family are just thug beep The Greystones are elitists and just plain ignorant most of the time. Don't get me STARTED on the police. And everyone else on Caprica seems to be bitterly and openly racist against Gemenon and Tauron (and probably every other planet, they just haven't been mentioned yet). From what I can gather right now, the Cylon genocide of the 12 colonies was probably the best thing anyone could have done for this society.

That does not mean though that every character has to be a moral degenerate or some amoral cynic. The thing that made the REAL Galactica (and I mean the one from 1978) was how it was about likable positive characters banding together in the face of dark, unspeakable tragedy. The nihilistic Moore universe has given us none of that and that is why I despise it as GINO on all levels. "Caprica" is only further proof of what a joke the entire concept is and always has been and why it deserves to be known as GINO because the real Battlestar Galactica stood for something far more nobler.

You've only seen 4 episodes so I won't spoil anything but some characters go through some major changes by the end of the season. Joseph and Sam Adama especially.
Then again, part of the basic premise of this show is that it is about a civilization that is just starting to go through a period of moral decline and confusion.
