They want it to be 5 seasons, but they don't get to decide if there will actually be 5…showtime hasn't picked it up for an additional season yet, which is weird since usually a network will do that pretty early into a current season's run…it's actually not a very good sign. Plus even if they do, it will likely mean another prolonged or delayed filming and production…I hate waiting 2 years for another season, it's kind of ridiculous. I remember a time when seasons were 22 episode count and ran from september to june…now seasons are 10 episodes every 2+ years.

Yeah, pacing has been an issue in the show…the finale felt like it should have been 2 episodes instead of one, too much was condensed and had to be told through jump cuts & flash backs. I have to wonder how the story would open for a fouth season…Shauna is going to be pissed at

and i doubt she will just let what Melissa did go either…although it seems like at least in the teen timeline Shauna can't put her fists where her mouth is, since she did back down from
Taissa, and even Melissa kind of after Melissa attacked her, doing nothing more than calling her boring
We know we need some amount of time left for Gen and Melissa to get closer to Hannah, but also for, presumably
Gen,Hannah,Akilah,Brit, and that other girl (forgot her name) to die…some potentially could have died post rescue, OR even still be alive…but rescue at this point should only be a matter of days
ALTHOUGH…
They were likely rescued in Jan/Feb '98…and there is no way they are actually in that time by the time Natalie makes the SOS call…it would have been late Oct/early Nov at by the season finale…so, why would they still be there after another couple months. Could be the SOS made contact but then failed, but now the outside knows there are indeed survivors somewhere out there and are reinvigorated to search…this is a stream of consciousness post lol

Season three is definitely my favorite. I would have condensed the whole Coach Ben story and made room for more development around Hannah and young Melissa, but overall I was very entertained.
