I cannot believe how Marcia has not gotten the recognition she so deserves. I am a 20-year-old, studying to be in the industry, and recently came upon her movie "Little Murders." It is fantastic! It actually took me a while to get the beauty of the dark humor. I've been a fan of hers for years. I used to watch TVLand all the time, and used to see her Maxwell House coffee commercial pop up.
It is also a shame she (supposedly) turned down the role of Carol on "Maude." I have a feeling she didn't, however, I cannot be sure.
Does anyone have any commence on this remarkable actress, or even what she's up to now?

Hi Marcia, I am a big fans of yours. I found out you were born in 1938 and not in 1940. Were you born Jul 8 1938 or were you born later than in 1938 than that? The 1940 Census lists you as 1 years old. For reference I was born in Jul 1968 and I'd like to know if I am 29 years younger than you.
It must have been hard to compete with women born in 1937, 1936, 1935, 1934 etc when you entered the business
I think you are eternally beautiful inside and out (btw I love the Midwest, I grew up iN New Jersey but I loved traveling to Minnesota (Bloomington, Lake Minnetonka), Chicago and Langorne Pennsylvania (Sesame Place 1990 with my camp group, which ranged from ages 7 to 24)
BTW I am an Anarcha Feminist (I vow to smash the patriarchy to pieces before I pass away)
I am a huge follower of Rosa Luxemberg, Emma Goldman, PJ Proudhon, etc.

To acshore88
Whoever you are, I love you. thanks for the wonderful letter. And I did turn down the role on "Maude" but it's a long complicated story.
I am still acting and loving it.

Little Murders is a strange and wonderful movie.
So, almost ten years after you first wrote your comment, have you made it in "the industry?"

Have you seen her recent work on the award winning web series "Broken At Love." She debuted in Season 2 and is slated to be back in Season 3. www.brokenatlovetheseries.com; their Facebook has tons of pics of her on set. She's a gem.

She is a superb actress who always makes a strong impression in her variety of roles, which unfortunately are too short for my taste.
