The first movie was good and exciting. This squeal had about as much excitement as a huge zit on the end of your nose.

Oh my god guys i think the op is a legit pedo!
Tl;dr there was a guy called superdave on a jonbenet forum and he was obsessed with the case. Fast forward a few years and he was on the news for being a pedo!
Anyhoo, his name plus the 12-25 is the day jonbenet died. I think this was actually him!

They toned down Eisenberg so he was less of a fast talking weasel type. Tat makes the film instantly better.

I think I understand what you're saying, although as you probably guessed I disagree about part 1. I just didn't buy part 1 at all. But maybe you have a point: what few tricks in part 2 require supernatural level suspensions of disbelief. The card passing was just silly; the rain trick can't really be done like that and the quick explanation (
"Rain machines and a strobe light!"
) was so quick you could tell they were embarrassed by it; the fake plane ride also would never work.

I liked part 1 although it wasn't great or anything, it was OK. somewhat enjoyable. This movie..was just horrible. Point being the first one actually had a trick that COULD be plausable that COULD conceivably happen so you wanted to watch to find out how it happened, and what would happen (the bank robbery). that and I also liked the Isla Fisher better than the other girl, and the french actress with Mark Ruffalo their interplay was both funny and pretty good to see too, sothat film was WAY better than this garbage.
All this film had was an endless line of nonsensically stupid "tricks" that mostly aren't even humanly possible or are not explained and it just goes through them over and over and it becomes so stupid and not believable that you don't even care anymore. Movie bombed too as a result only making 65 million in US on a 90 million budget. Total fail. (The first one made like 200 or 300 millionvery different.)
