Robert Mitchum reluctantly defends Keenan Wynn, who we know to be guilty, in a court martial where the Army requires a guilty verdict. It's tightly made and sharply filmed in black and white - in fact it looks like a superior TV production rather than a Hollywood movie. Perhaps it's a bit heavy handed and unsubtle but a good cast and a good watch.
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down!
