<p dir="auto">He had an amazing run, character actors always last longer, but like Charles Lane he ran the gamut from the Golden Age of Hollywood to TV and films to 1990.<br />

<p dir="auto">Yes, Mr. Wolfe was a superb actor.  I always enjoyed him as one of the semi-regulars in the great Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes films of the 1940s and also on such later television hit shows as "Star Trek" and "Hawaii, 5-0."</p>
