I see. But then if they do change their mind, it gives them more time to think it through, so if they make anymore it will be an extra bonus (it can't be easy to not only think of deaths, but also "fake deaths" as well - seeing as the majority of them have at least one death scene where every single dangerous object is shown, regardless of whether it plays a part in the death or not).

Well MJN, I see your point, but remember that these movies kept coming every 3 years. Also, FD5 was announced less than a year after TFD, despite being meant to be the "final" one.

No one talked about FD5 until they did.
I personally hope they keep going, as I not only love these movies, but (since FD4) the anticipation of them coming, looking at the trailers and trying to guess the deaths, and watching others do the same, and debating on how much I want to look at before I watch the movie. It's awesome.
