So many people were upset with Freddy vs Jason. Those "hardcore" fans. But to me Freddy and Jason have always been a bit cheesy, especially in their respectful sequels. FvJ was one of my favorite sequels and its such a guilty pleasure I watch yearly. Bringing those iconic characters together like most fans demanded after seeing Jason Goes to Hell and then the fans go on an online riot crying they butchered their characters was appalling. I see recently fans don't appreciate much anymore. They cant handle modern day sequels nor remakes even if it gives respect to said iconic character(s). I love that Ronny Yu brought his talents to this film and hope he gets more work. I believe he has potential just hasn't been given the best script.
