I've watched and read The Hunger Games, but I read The Long Walk many years before those. The Hunger Games started off well but deteriorated into silly romances. King's story is just plain brutal.

I love that book.
Everyone brings up The Hunger Games whenever I bring this book up.
All I know is that I read The Long Walk way before The Hunger Games.

That really is exciting news! Adaptations of King's stories have always veered between brilliant or disastrous so I hope they get it right this time. It's such a riveting story.

However, I understand that a long awaited book to film adaptation of the Stephen King/Richard Bachman novel, The Long Walk, has begun filming!
This is exciting news!!!
