Of course not. This was the most obviously CGI scene of all CGI scenes that have ever existed. And that slomo shot of chickens being thrown into the ring was sweet.

I think there's worse things than watching and betting on a cockfight. I don't support animal cruelty, but you can do worse things to an animal, or just do in general.
Besides, it allowed them to blend in with the locals. It was good cover.

As heartless as it sounds, blowing up innocent people in hopes of killing a target at least has an upside; killing that woman was done just for effect. Unneeded. I thought the cock fighting scene was one of the more interesting parts of the film. It brought back memories of a few cock fights I had the pleasure of attending many years ago when I spent a short time in Louisiana. I will never forget watching as a local sheriff's deputy in full uniform stood in the fighting pit ready to unleash his bird.
It is also worth noting that the cocks that lost were immediately being cleaned, later to be served up as delicious southern fried chicken. Under those circumstances, I don't personally see anything wrong with cock fighting. If I was a chicken, I would much rather go down as a fighting cock with a chance in the ring than simply having my head lopped of and thrown into a cooking pot.

Seriously? Your complaint about the movie is the cockfights? That has to be one of the dumbest pc complaints possible. If anything the cockfight brought realism to the characters and showed them to be real people not some wannabe superheroes with fake morals.

What did you expect the Losers to do? Sell themselves. Like you said they're the good guys, so gambling was pretty much the only way they could make money, aside from getting jobs which they did. I assume they used the money they earned from working to gamble in order to get back home.
