<p dir="auto">I guess this is DC comics finally admitting outright that Marvel has come up with the formula for a successful superhero movie in this day and age, and this is their attempt to emulate it.  Sort of an "if you can't beat em, join em" capitulation.  Shark guy is their Groot, I suppose.</p>

<p dir="auto">I'm not on either side of the comic book wars since I don't read comics, but to me this just seemed like all the recent Marvel movies with just a little more profanity and gore.</p>

<p dir="auto">This is nothing like a Marvel film. This is Rated R dark action comedy. Marvel films are kid-friendly fluff.<br />
There was a time when DC did try to emulate Marvel, but those films failed. Now DC does their own thing, and the style of TSS is one of their own patented formulas.<br />
