The King of Comedy was about a failed comedian bullied by society who lived with his mom who idolizes a talk show host who is mocked by a talk show host but finally gets the opportunity to be on the show. Joker is about a failed comedian bullied by society who lives with his mom who is mocked by a talk show host but finally gets the opportunity to be on his show. Taxi Driver is about a mentally ill man driven to madness by the scum in the city and goes on a murdering spree, Joker, same. My guess is that when Joker commits his murders, it's going to full Taxi Driver.
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane
