<p dir="auto">I think you're making a mistake in assuming that your own lack of interest in something means there's no audience for it.<br />
Fifty Shades, for example, has a huge audience in spite of being terrible. The first one made nearly $600M worldwide, and cost $40M to make. It will suck, it will get terrible reviews, but it won't flop. It's a guaranteed money-maker.<br />
If your theater is a space safe from ideas and opinions, you're doing theater wrong.</p>

<p dir="auto">Do you mean financially or critically? Because what will happen most likely is that some of these movies will have a <em>beep</em> quality or story but will still be financially successful or the other way around.</p>

<p dir="auto">I think Ghost in the Shell<br />
might<br />
break even if it's a good movie. I don't know if the Internet backlash is going to really matter to the general audience because I feel like the hate is just a very vocal minority. I don't think it'll be a huge success though. It's going to live or die on word of mouth.<br />
Power Rangers I'm also not sure of. I think it's safe to call it as flopping but it might end up being a surprise hit and I think it will do well overseas.</p>
