First, I think Mom redeemed herself somewhat by going back to Hell to save Lucifer. Clearly she's feeling some guilt about her manipulation of Lucifer or she wouldn't have found herself getting lured back to Hell, until Lucifer pulled her out of there.
Which brings me to my other point. Despite Lucifer claiming to be "done", he did still save his mother from going back by dragging her out of there. So just like his saving Chloe out of love, despite believing her feelings for him aren't real, he also saved his mother out of love, despite learning what she did to him and being very angry with her.
A lot of people have described mom as pure evil and have wished her off the show because of it. But I think she's a complex celestial being who's shortcomings are magnified because she's a God. Just like God's shortcomings are magnified. When He punishes someone, He doesn't just give them a time-out in their room, He sends them to hell for 10 billion years. Or floods the entire planet. Same with Charlotte, she's just not one for subtlety when it comes to getting what she wants. Whether it's getting revenge on her ex, or just getting back together with Him, her focus on her goal is so great that she's not really aware of how much harm she does in the process. Hopefully, she'll learn from this experience, although people don't change overnight, so I highly doubt a goddess will change that quickly. But at least she has a conscience and the potential for change. I hope in the end, she gets to reconcile with her ex-husband, while her children finally find some happiness on their own.
Damn right we're snowflakes! Winter is coming!

It's really a shame about Father Frank. While it was a killer standalone episode, just think how great it would have been, what an iconic duo they could have become, if the devil's best friend and advisor were a priest. Even better than the devil and the therapist, and that one's pretty darned great.
Has that story been written? Probably, but I've never read it.
"Man is born into trouble as sparks fly upward." Lucifer

Lucifer wasn't "done" with her until after saving her from hell. Then he was done.
I think part of why he saved her is the regret he feels for not helping her the first time. He never asked her why she didn't help him when he was caste down from heaven and he didn't lift a finger to help when she was also caste down, only to discover that actually she did help by choosing life in banishment instead of his death. Yes, I know, not 100% buying it either but he's did..at the time.
I can see him saving her this time, so as not repeat his previous mistake. And I do believe he does love her, no matter how much he dislikes her actions at times.
I know that this show is supposed to be about Lucifer and his probable redemption, but I also see it as a chance for Mom's too. In order for Mum to redeem herself, she has to live among those that she despises and watch her son fall in love with one - potentially sacrifice his life for one, in order to understand and accept humankind, and only then can she return to the Silver City.
It's all part of God's plan for Lucifer and even Charlotte. Sigh, I miss Father Frank. He and Dr. Linda would have been an awesome team.

Agree. Even in the elevator, she refers to Chloe as "insignificant". She's still got a long way to go, but I think she has the capacity.

In her early conversations in particular she showed nothing but contempt for humans and could not work out why Lucifer had any regard for his pets. Maybe her redemption is to see humans as being important. If she did start to care for humans maybe that would fix things between her and Lucifer.
