Sure, He doesnt mind his mistress Emily Bett being the lead of the show, either way he still gets money.

He is very invested in what the fans have to say. Sometimes he posts videos and reactions. So trust that he knows that the fandom is divided and that many fans are disappointed. He would have been a smart man if he didn't sign for season 6, but I guess he is afraid of unemployment.

Lololol I keep hearing about Amell like stepping down or something. Is he trying to back out of the show? I wouldn't be surprised. Anyone with eyes can see this shows horrid decline. It jumped the shark two seasons ago.
