Both characters have evolved to the point of their popularity by other writers. If Liefeld never left to help create Image and was still writing them the way he did in the 90's no one would want a movie about them.

Weeeeeelll Deadpool is a knockoff of Deathstroke plus Spider-man. And Cable is the epitome of everything wrong with the 90s. Until they changed him after Liefeld left Marvel.

I wouldn't really listen to Rob Liefeld. He's one of the worst. I really can't see why people keep going to him on stuff. As a comic book creator, he's hated by a lot of people.

To be honest, I'd like to see Pierce BROSNAN in a comic-book movie someday, but I don't think he fits the role of Cable. He's too suave and charming for the role.

I don't think he really has to roid up. He just has to look like he's been a soldier since he was a kid. The hardest part is convincing people he's not Bucky from the future.

I'd be good with it. He has comedic timing which you really need to have as the "straight man" to someone like Deadpool. Has the hardass persona down. Anyone see The Matador? He's gonna have to roid up a little probably.

I think Fox should cast Stephen Lang. He looks and can act the part.

It means nothing. They are at some event that has nothing to do with movie. Pierce is not Cable.
But if it does mean something, I don't think Ryan agree to cast Pierce for Cable, maybe someone else.

Fans don't know for sure if he is cable or not although not that bad of a choice. Liam Neeson is the actor I want for the role.

But that's the thing, Cable is from the distance future. Who's to say that the British accent isn't the world accent by then? Or that he grew up in Britain or a British territory (another "Revolutionary War" where America lost?). Let's not forget, Charles Xavier is also American.
