SS is not in the same league as Deadpool.

Deadpool is WAAYYY better than I-Want-to-Kill-Myself Squad

Deadpool. Anyone else think if they remade SS but took out the SS and used Deadpool, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead as the main characters instead it would improve the awful story of SS? I do.

No, don't read too much beyond what I say. Suicide Squad had a near non-existent story which felt like a rip off of a lot of very familiar ones.

Are you saying Suicide Squad had a good story? It was a mess in my opinion.

If you like good story then Deadpool is the wrong film for you.
There's action, but it's pretty much a parody/comedy/action. You either enjoy it, and the kid in you is not a shriveled husk, or not.

Well Deadpool's girlfriend is some eye candy, but I guess she isn't in the movie as much as Harley is. Deadpool is still much better though.

I essentially said better eye candy than Deadpool. That doesn't mean it was especially wonderful. There were plenty of fun visual effects, and Harley.

Better eye candy? Suicide Squad has the one the worst color palettes I've ever seen, every scene has that beep filter that makes the film looks drab and ugly as hell.

I think both films were disappointing. Deadpool has the humour (some of it, anyway) but not a lot else. Suicide Squad is better eye candy, but not a lot else either. Both films leave you feeling like you could have happily never seen them and never miss the experience.

Well I watched Suicide Squad and yes it was pretty disappointing. Of all the characters I did like the Joker best.
This movie looks like one of those fiascos where miles of film are shot and the studio has to take over and bring in editors and ghostwriters to salvage some semblance of a movie. Too much backstory and exposition, should have cut at least 30 minutes off the run time.

I did like Suicide Squad but Leto's Joker was easily the worst performance of the Joker I've seen yet. Good thing there wasn't a whole lot of him. Deadpool was the better movie.

Nah, I think Leto did his own take to the role. Remember, the Joker is a gangster, and spoke like one before he was dropped in acid. We're talking zoot suit gangster, not contemporary hood gangster.
I'd watch SS first, then Deadpool. I own both and like both movies for different reasons.
