Imho is it's treatment of savage. Or even using him at all. The guy who played him looked fine. Beard and long hair and everything. The big problem was tying him to the the hawks. Savage was immortal long before ancient egypt. He was a caveman. I get why they wanted to use him but they wasted his character and the potential of his actual daughter. We all know this isn't the show they wanted much like they didn't want the atom. What they wanted was suicide squad and since they couldn't use it they created this team. It hurts me to watch it when I love the secret six so much.

The two biggest problems with the first season in my opinion (apart from the awful versions of Hawkman and Hawkgirl) were Vandal Savage was a boring villain and the show shouldn't have focused on the Legends fighting one main villain and should have had multiple villains. This is a show that has access to use a wide range of DC villains and they wasted an entire season on Vandal Savage.

I totally agree with tomatosauce. Vandal Savage is a good enough villain in the comics, the actor played him well enough and he had a decent look. But he was written horribly and his big master plan was stupid.

A good while ago they were going 2 make a big A1 motion picture about THE DOOM PATROL. This became instead THE SUICIDE SQUAD, last Summer. I think LEGENDS c/d've been TDP. Accidental (victims) hero's but w/ a strong sense of humanity.

Yeah, Savage went bk at least 30K yrs. And so many yrs ago, D.C. made him out 2 be the actual Cain from the Bible. The Hawks were kind of the weak point of Legends from the b/g. I don't think the actors they cast were type. A proper Hawkman w/d have been a natural leader. But reserved. Hawkgirl the next best. Smallville got him wrong, too.
