Now that everyone knows he's Martian Manhunter, and now that he and everyone knows the real Hank Henshaw is alive and well (as "cyborg Superman" lol), why the hell is he still using his likeness lol
That'd be like someone impersonating Fidel castro, then we find out the real Fidel is alive and that person is still walking around as him and people want him gone. 😛
Now I know the real reason (budget restraints on him walking around as MM/ actor wanting to show his face) but storywise it's just dumb and makes no sense lol

Well, they could always replace him with the actor who played Martian Manhunter on Smallville. Even though I don't mind this version I kinda liked the character more as a detective than the Director of the DEO.

It is so they can keep the actor around. As much as it doesn't make sense storywise if they were to change it now they would have to get a different actor to play the role.

I don't think Harewood-as-Henshaw will stay around. Henshaw will probably appear to be destroyed but his consciousness will download into Superman or Supergirl's ship as it did in the comic books, then Henshaw will spend some time in space before coming back next season or sometime down the road, with Superman's DNA incorporated into a new cyborg body, where he will perhaps be portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin.

Actually, they setup the plot for Cyborg Superman the minute they mentioned the name Hank Henshaw. In the comics, Cyborg Superman's real name is Hank Henshaw. I saw it coming, did no one else?

Practical reasons, since Harewood does not wear latex masks and prosthetics, it would be weird for actors to talk to thin air green screen while computer generates CGI all the time.
