Ayer did a poor imitation of their style, but couldn't copy their attitudes.
Yolandi literally acts exactly like Harley irl.
Robbie couldn't nail that cutesy, yet aggressive character. They call it the "demonic pixie"
Ninja also has the exact joker physicality and horrendously "d!kish" attitude
I feel bad for Robbie because she was out of her league. That kind of behavior isn't something you can really act. Same with Joker. It came across as Fake Manic, not actual manic. Oh well

Their music videos are absolutely hillarious
I'd say that's comedy chops

I can kinda see it. Thing is they don't demonstrate comedy chops, just insanity. This kinda casting with non-actors has been done before, just because the people fit the characters so well. Grace Jones in Conan, Andre The Giant in Princess Bride.
"what is your major malfunction numbnuts?!!"

Your comment contradicts. Ninja = Joker
Same personality. Would have rocked.
Suicide Squad as it wass u c k e d
and he's the only one I've ever seen with the exact physicality of the Joker
The comic gangly joker. Nonhuman looking

They only know how to play themselves, like in Chappie. As bad as Leto was, Ninja as Joker would have been that much worse.
Victims, aren't we all?
