I've just started watching this series, but my primary complaint thus far is the atrocious character design. The dreadlocked Joker and that abomination they called Bane are my first complaints only because those are the first two episodes. I imagine my annoyance with this aspect of the show will only increase as I continue watching.

The art style of this show is so unappealing. Can't stand it. Some characters are so drastically different they barely resemble their comic book counterparts. I am all for artistic liberties and putting your own twist on these characters, but you gotta draw the line somewhere.

Actually most people love the riddler look of this show there isnt anything wrong with a goth riddler as for the joker he looks descent for a kids show targeting children batman the animated series targeted everyone this goes for children its colorful an cartoony on purpose the riddler looks fine as dose scarface as dose killer croc an man bat penguin also looks fine the only one who looks off is joker he looks so cartoony to the point were i can not take him serious i dont mind the long hair but the no shoes with the long hair makes him look more wacky then evil also his voice is to deep for such a wacky look that voice would be better suited for a darker more sharp dressed joker like the frank miller one as long as it was played serious

Just started as well. Im about half way through season 2.
Joker is indeed a horrible design. Whats with the bare feet? Even when dressed as Batman he had bare feet.
Did you see The Riddler yet? Good lord he looks like Marilyn Manson. Terrible.
Have you ever noticed that the people who say "DC is for adults and Marvel is for kids", are kids?

Agree about Bane. Its like they took four arms from Ben 10 and just gave him 2 arms. Joker is a bit weird but not as horrific as Bane. Tbh the other designs aren't so bad. Mr. Freeze looks a bit different since he has no cold gun and just inherent ice powers, but he looks pretty cool. Penguin SOUNDS annoying but looks normal enough, and I actually really like Catwoman and Firefly. Oh and Riddler actually looks a lot more threatening in this series than usual so thats a plus.

I know but i said it's not like Nolan had access to Mad Hatter when he was making his Batman Flicks so i really don't understand why he didn't appear on this show?

This show ended well before they started working on The Dark Knight Rises so Bane and Catwoman were up for grabs.

The character designs never bothered me but what really bothered me the most was some of the other Bat-foes never made into the show do to some stupid bat-embargo like Mad Hatter, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Ra's and Talia, among others. It's not like Nolan had access to Mad Hatter when he was making his Batman Flicks, cause Bane should also been cut too but nope he was in this series as well.
