Hal Jordan is cocky and arrogant and cracks a lot of jokes, that's basically Ryan Reynolds. If he was in a GL movie with a great script it would have been perfect.

I think that's why Reynalds fit Deadpool better. His Hal was basically Wade from the begining of Xmen-origins and Deadpool from this year.

He was good at Deadpool but yeah, Green Lantern was crap.

Armie Hammer would be fine but that seems safe and predictable at the same time. If they really wanna capture Hal Jordan's cockiness and charm, someone like Glenn Powell or Sam Claflin would be better.

I think it could've had a better story, tone. Look up pictures of the villain towards the end of the movie as it's wreaking havoc on the citizens and try not to laugh.
Ryan Reynolds just made it even worse. It's not that he's a bad actor, I just think he was terrible choice for Hal Jordan.
Check out the animated film Green Lantern: First Flight sometime if you're ever bored. It's a much better movie.

I have never seen the film so I will have to take your word on this one but do you think that the movie was good and Reynolds ruined it? Or was the movie destined to be terrible anyway and Reynolds did not help?

Both MoS & BvS were a thousand times better than GL and don't even give me the critics said this and critics said that. Those SJW's lost all credibility long ago.

Yes he was. They also went too crazy with special effects and Cgi animated suit( which has been dissed hc). They seem to have learnt self control, so hopefully the new GL movie focuses on a good story and special effects are only used to compliment the story and acting.

I mean that's how they wrote the movie. It was too lighthearted and the villain just seemed wack, not surious enough for Hal to be serious

Doesn't matter if the script was poor (which it was) or if Reynolds is a better actor that Hammer overall.
