She was extremely ticked off just waiting to get out of that chair, then Malcolm walks in and tells her he's responsible for sinking the boat she and Oliver were on. She was super charged on so many levels by that time. Just wish it was Dhark that walked in.

I think Merlyn trained for about two years.
Sara would have trained for four years the first time and two years in the past, though I'm not sure what the past League would have been able to teach her that she didn't already know.
I think she'd be able to take Merlyn on.

Sarah has been through the LoA training twice now, so it's possible she learned a few new things the second time around. If nothing else, it may have helped her perfect her skills. So she may be able to beat the crap out of Merlyn now.

Exactly. Plus, how old is the guy? Look at pro boxers and MMA fighters. No matter how good they were in their prime, by the time they are in their 40's they are no where near as good as they once were.

Merlyn sent after Sara with a huge dagger he pulled out of his jacket and she still beat his ass and held that same dagger to his throat. Why did she even make a deal with him to give him the amulet? She could have just gotten the information out of him by threatening to kill him. Last season on Arrow, Oliver got him to quit leading the League of Assassins in the same situation.

To be fair, Merlyn was fighting hand-to-hand. It feels like he's more of a weapon master.

Malcolm Merlyn is a bitch. He got his ass kicked and his hand chopped off in seconds during a fight with Oliver last season on Arrow. He is more of a psychological/scheming villain than he is a physical threat.

Its not particularly unrealistic.
Hell, Malcolm may well have underestimated Sara's capabilities, just like he underestimated Oliver last year.

well I'll completely agree but I forget how strong Merlin is, I mean he ended up running the league of shadows but was nyssa al ghul a better fighter than Merlin or was Merlin still better. cause maybe sara learn some beep from Nyssa.
