no other major character in the cinematic side of the MCU with the exception of Hulk has had to overcome. The other major characters in the MCU benefit from a comparative advantage.
There were no other major big screen versions of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, etc. that came before the MCU for the critics to relate or compare those character representations to. They benefited from a squeaky clean comparative slate in the eyes of the critics / audience.
Which means Marvel Studios and Sony need to bring their Spider-Man A-game next year because it is going to be hard to impress critics that already loved / love Raimi's / Tobey's representation of Spider-Man.
No one can sit there and say, "Oh, Joe Schmoe was a way better Tony Stark / Iron Man" in comparison to RDJ, or say "RDJ sucked in comparison to Joe Schmoe."

That is true.
Alto there have been earlier adaptations of Cap and Doctor Strange, they are pretty much unknown today.
And Spidey has had multiple live action adaptations since the 70s, so as you said Holland's incarnation of Spidey will be compared to a greater degree than the other Marvel characters.
.and then the bong hits him on the head and he falls RIGHT over the realitY

True, but that was him in a sidekick role with 10 minutes of screen-time. This is his full length feature stand-alone film made by a different director.

Fair enough, but remember this isn't the first time critics have seen Tom Holland as Spider-Man. He was no doubt one of the many highlights of Civil War.
