I have never heard of this guy, and he hasn't done much.  I enjoy The Onion news spoofs as much as the next fellow but I can't say I have ever seen any notable directing in them.<br />
He looks like another one of these unknown directors that corporations love because they have no vision of their own (or are not allowed to pursue their own creative outlook) and can be pushed around by the studio executives to make as banal and neutral a movie as possible.  Gotta keep these movies safe and sterile and nutless and not take any chances at all, this is business, not art entertainment!</p>
