I mean I understand all the criticism and what people did not like about the movie, but when you look at it for what it is and what the filmmakers were going for, it is fun.
Yes, it is OTT cheesy and campy, but that was the goal here.
The set design, costumes, everything is obviously big budget and it is kinda fun to watch an unambitious movie that has huge money to spend, but that never takes itself seriously and is all about cheesy, hammy fun.
I hated the movie, but watching it now, I was surprised by how well many of its technical aspects are done and how much fun I had when I turned off my brain and just enjoyed it for what it was.
