EASY GOER
This should be listed under "Trivia"
It's kind of irritating to me that Shia LeBouf's character is named "Chas Chandler". As any true Jimi Hendrix fan knows (and I am a HUGE fan), Chas Chandler played in the band "The Animals". However, his main venture in life was he saw and heard Hendrix play at "Cafe Wha", a club (I lived 1 block away from it for over 10 years) in the Village in downtown Manhattan. Chandler very quickly went on to put him with the drummer, Mitch Mitchell and a bass player, Noel Redding to form
THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
, which became legendary, and the rightly. I saw Hendrix (and The Experience) play when I was 14 years old. It blew my mind, and I decided right then and there to play guitar. I did so for many years. I apologize for digressing. Anyway, as I wrote, it is frustrating they used Chandler's name as a character in this film. As Hendrix said in the song "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)",
"I'll see you in the next world, and don't be late"
.
Take care, fans.
