I can understand the why the Kryptonians and Daxamites hated each other .
Even after most of Daxamites are gone , Kara still can resist putting them down.
Like their prince are the worse ,
Rumor has it he was like Frat boy of the Universe
Even Kara's mother hologram are bit racist about the Daxanites .
Were the Daxamites really that bad ?
Or was just Kryptonians' Prejudice ?
I wish a third objective Alien Species can tell us what the Daxamites were like .
But the Kryptonian were like more or less respectable species .
Astra had many non-Kryptonians followers.
Maybe the Daxamites were isolated species , and the Kryptonian had more contact with other species , which influence the other Species's opinion about the Daxamites.
The way Kara describe the Daxamites 's prince , like he was North Korea's Kim Jong-un

I haven't read comics in years, but originally Daxam was a planet colonized by Kryptonian explorers who decided to stay. Daxam had no lead and a red star like Krypton, and so for some reason they developed a fatal weakness to that element, and since it's everywhere in the universe, became fearfully isolationists and home-bodies. Mon-el always wanted to explore and so he took off and landed on Earth, lost his memory in the crash, and was taken by Clark to be his long-lost big brother who he named Mon-el.

Well, Daxamites were particularly known to be highly xenophobic isolationists, but not truly a bad race. Kryptonians' science and sense of justice can be a bit stuffy, but again, as a race, not bad either.
The show need not go in this direction.
