I know this is a scifi and all but still I'd like to know how is Eobard alive in the new timeline that Barry had created (post Flashpoint). Does anyone have a good explanation?
Because from what we've seen, Eobard kills Nora and brings Barry back to 2016.
So how exactly did Barry get his speed in this new timeline since there was no fake Wells to initiate a particle accelerator explosion?
On the other hand, after Eobard kills Nora, flashbacks are shown that indicate the events of past seasons have occurred in the new timeline as well and in these flashbacks we can see Eobard impersonating Wells. So what's going on??
I think I just got more confused

This is a universe (shared?) where nobody notices Kara and Supergirl are the same person despite looking, acting and sounding identical and having the exact same gaping forehead scar. RF still being alive pales in comparison, IMO.

It's as if they've gone all Back to the Future II on us . The famous argument about how can Marty and Jen go to the future and see themselves old if they actually disappeared in 1985.
I wonder if it's supposed to be a case that they came back to a 2016 reality that includes a history of Flash and Eobard/Wells doing everything they did from 2000 to 2016 , but they're replaced by them when they arrived.

I know right? When Eddie killed himself, Eobard ceased to exist meaning he was never alive Henry would never have gone to prison and Nora would still be alive. SO HOW COULD EOBARD STILL EXIST?! Sloppy writing here!

Eobard being alive makes more sense than Barry having powers. Not enough changed in the new timeline. They could have just kept everything the same and it makes as much sense as what they went with.
