^^so glad you pointed this out. This started bugging me again last week. I know we are supposed to suspend disbelief but no way in hell is Barry's salary funding the entire operation and all that techunless he's moonlighting as a call boy - highly unlikely if his romantic scenes with Iris are anything to go by!

That's all fine, but the building is literally still scarred and exposed from the explosion. We know it snows and rains in Central City, so unless Cisco invented a giant invisible umbrella to cover the roof that building should be condemned.

Cisco I think works also for the police, I wouldn't be surprised if Star Labs is contracted to help combat the meta threat seeing how almost all anti-meta tech is developed by them and used by the police, prisons and such.
Also Thawne may have left a trust to fund the site and such because you know no way they could afford to create the stuff they do, power the tech or buy supplies hell how can Barry afford his food bills the dude has to eat the equivalent of 400 tacos a day, even low end stuff is going to cost $1000's a week just to feed him.

What do they do for money? I'm assuming Cisco and Caitlin need to be paid. All I ever see them doing is helping Barry. Plus I'd expect a lot of funding needed just to have the place. Gotta be some sort of property taxes or something.
And maybe it's just me being less moral than him, but I'd personally take my super speed and go make some easy money. There should be lots of ways you could make a ton of cash with super speed if you're creative. Heck, go win roulette. But money is no problem at all for these people, half of whom don't seem to have paying jobs.
It's not just that the show doesn't focus on their money problems, it's that they definitely SHOULD be having money problems.

Barry's actually the cruelest villain on the show.
