There's Christopher Nolan, Jeff Robinov and the Heads at Warner Brothers. Christopher Nolan trusted Zack Snyder and that obviously meant a lot to the suits at Warner Bros. So, they hired him. Jeff Robinov used to work at Warner Bros. and he was backing Zack Snyder for the Man of Steel director's job as well. And Warner Bros. also chose Zack Snyder because he could complete the Man of Steel production quickly, and that's what Warner Bros. wanted.

Don't forget that Nolan co-wrote 'Man of Steel'.
An opinion is not offensive just because you do not agree with it.

They could have fixed it if they kicked out Snyder after MoS. But not only did they keep him on, they gave him BvS
and
Justice League. Regardless of what the other directors do with the characters, Snyder will have at least some creative impact on every single DCEU film from now on, even long after he's gone, because he gets to establish them. All this on the strength of a polarizing, financially disappointing Superman reboot.
If you can't defend a movie without bashing another, you will be put on ignore. No exceptions.
