Actually going by the article, the director wanted to dress up the movie into another typical superhero flick while Ryan Reynolds was wanting to continue the rated R raunchiness. Considering Reynolds was the one who pushed to get it made in the first place I think this is the best thing to happen.
IMO the studio is trying to push for a PG13, what a bunch of greedy losers
