He's not Iron Man, he's the Blue Beetle. They originally wanted him to be Ted Kord, but DC nixed the idea and made them use Ray Palmer instead. I guess they were too far along in planning/production to change his powers, so they wound up with this hybrid character instead.

I'd just be happy if they actually used his shrinking ability more.
Could be a budget thing but it feels like he only does it every few episodes to remind people that he can and they're content with just having him blast at people most of the time.

I'm a Comic Purist ; I know.but if you think that complete beep on Legends looks like what Ray used in that series, you're crazy as a loon. It needs to be fixed. The Atom doesn't fire missles like Iron Man.he's not Iron Man.
