I hope this season they break the spell of Oliver speaks just with his team and family, but have real interaction with characters outside that circle.
I am interested in a new dynamic with the police force, detectives, the special police unit also. He is a killer again so it is interesting the public perception of GA. Maybe he will meet some journalists, which was teased I think.
There would be nice to see him interact with city officials, some interesting characters who will play role in the main story as well.
More doing his own investigating job. Probably meet Bratva again in present times.
It would be nice for more diverse set locations than just the liar and city hall.
I think it will help develop him as a character, show more sides of him, and expand the horizon of the show.
The same old Oliver/Felicity, Oliver/Diggle, Oliver/Thea interactions are kind of getting boring and going in circles. They are over explored and nothing new.

I agree This was one of the things that was missing in the past few Seasons.
NOw that he is the mayor they can do a lot of things

  • What does the public think about Green Arrow killing again ? If there is a demand to arrest or investigate these killings how would Oliver react as Mayor ?
  • There must be some conspiracy theories going on around Star City that Oliver Queen is the Green Arrow. I mean he was arrested twice for that. So it would be interesting if someone is suspicious of this

in the next episode he will interact with Susan William a female reporter. Det malone in episode 5 joining the acu so two new people. Then the new district attorney Adrian chase in episode 7.

You're definitely on to something here! Oliver's interactions outside of the closed family circle/team is one reason why I liked season one. Helena and McKenna may have been "love interests", but they were also "outside people" who gave us a chance to see a different side of Oliver Queen and a different relationship dynamic. So, I'd also like to see him interact with other people, in a manner that goes beyond the very superficial contacts he's had in the past two seasons. I mean, although he spent a good deal of time with Taiana in the flashbacks, there was very little depth or interest in that relationship. Although the actress who portrayed Taiana wasn't very skilled, the major fault lies with the writing IMHO. As you said, Oliver's relationship with the team often seems to go in circles, repeating the same ole same conflicts, and the S4 flashbacks could have broken that monotony. The "Arrow" writers have shown that they can portray meaningful relationships in the past, with Slade and Shado, so 'm hoping that they will at least put some effort into the KGBeast/Oliver relationship, especially since I like the character/actor.
