I mean, come on! Deadshot (Will Smith) has a freakin' daughter! What kind of a villain has to provide for family?! Plus, they made his character really sympathetic. What if we do see Deadshot as a Batman villain one day? Batman ain't got a family anymore, and he has killed people in BvS! If anything, in the DCEU, Batman is the villain, now.
Another CB character that had a similar situation is Ant-Man. He started out the movie by being in jail, he has a daughter, and he tries everything he can to see his daughter.
So yeah, the "Suicide Squad" are anti-heroes NOT villains!
