I believe she did. I think if they had made Cottonmouth a little smarter and not used her (I found her utterly useless, Shades could have been utilised another way and still been cool) and kept Mr. Stokes a little longer this show would go from like 8.5 to a 9.5 easy a loved the charisma he brought he was just not smart enough or too arrogant maybe both.

Good question when your upbringing was as dysfunctional as theirs I believe they honestly deeply loved and deeply hated each other simultaneously.
There are so many undercurrents you would need to be Sigmund Freud to begin to unpack their baggage.
