The Punisher, starring Dolph Lundgren, is making its way to region-free bu-ray. It will be available in less than two weeks. And because this is another title owned in North America by Lionsgate, well be waiting forever for a domestic release. (They also own Death Wish 5, which breaks my heart.) To be clear, The Punisher had been previously available on region B blu-ray from the UK with no special features, as well as a ridiculous German mediabook release by Koch Media, which boasted three different cuts (theatrical, unrated, and a directors cut). That particularly release went out of print and is now impossible to find for a reasonable price. Enter my new favorite international distributor, who has resurrected all of that releases content, along with some new stuff
