<p dir="auto">Back in the mid-60s Ralph Bakshi worked on a syndicated package of very low budget, very limited animated adaptations of Captain America, Hulk, and Sub-Mariner.  One of the things they did was literally cut comic book apart and used the fragments as cell elements and backgrounds.<br />
The WATCHMEN MOTION COMIC is basically the modern digital descendant of that technique.</p>

<p dir="auto">Never saw those you mentioned but I'd love to. Only animated series I remember was Spider-Man '67.</p>
