What is with Marvel's obsession with anime? I understand it wants to appeal to a vast variety of viewers but anime seems a bit overrated. I think the art direction in Justice League: Doom and Young Justice is way better. Marvel doesn't seem to have a good animation department. I will give this film a viewing though because I am a huge fan of Iron Man but the animation is a bit of an annoyance.

This is incorrect info. For one Marvel reclaimed all rights to Blade and Daredevil awhile back. Second, they can produce a direct to home film of Spider-man but Disney has the Ultimate cartoon on XD, and they are releasing X-men motion comics via the direct to home market. Marvel owns all animation rights to every character. They can not produce a live action Spider-man, X-men(with the exception of Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch who are co-held by Fox & Marvel), the Fantastic Four(which includes Galactus & the Silver Surfer) Ghost Rider, and all related major villains and characters as well plot points, i.e. the term mutants will never be heard in an Avengers film without Fox's permission. Which could happen, the Oscorp building from Amazing Spider-man was almost featured in the Avenger's NYC skyline but was left out do to a production delay.

I like the look of this much much better than any of the DC Marvel stuff I usually see that looks like It was drawn by someone stuck in a 70's Saturday morning time warp. The detail and artistic style are beautiful.

That sucks. I thought that since Wolverine and Deadpool appeared in a Hulk animated movie, I assumed that they can use all of their characters in animated form. Guess not.
Rogue: You don't know, or you don't care?
Logan: Pick one.
X-Men

Those were cartoon series'. They're allowed to do so. In terms of Direct to video or feature length films they cannot. Marvel doesn't own the film rights to those characters.

Madhouse has already produced separate anime series for
Blade
,
Iron Man
,
X-Men
and
Wolverine
. Logan even had guest-appearances in both the
Iron Man
and
Blade
shows. There is nothing stopping Marvel from letting Madhouse make direct-to-video anime features based on either
Blade
or
X-Men
.

I dislike 'Japanese Animation' based off of American characters. If that helps.
Sony owns the film rights to Spiderman and Fox owns X-men which is what Marvel animation cannot make the characters into films.
Marvel Animation can only make films based on..
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
Guardians of the Galaxy
Nova
Captain America
Daredevil
The Punisher
Man-Thing
Black Panther and more. Not Spiderman, Fantastic 4, X-men, ghost rider, or blade yet.
I'm glad they included The Punisher.

So you don't really like anime, do ya? Or it's just American anime that annoys you?
Well, it doesn't matter what kind of animation it is as long as we get more Marvel Animated Movies.
The only problem I have with this movie and it's companion, the one with Hulk, is that they focus to much on Iron Man. With these two movies, counting the three Avengers ones, Iron Man will have had 6 animated movies. Where is Spider-man? X-Men? Guardians of the Galaxy? Blade? Black Panther? Daredevil? Deadpool? Miss Marvel? Ant-Man? Fantastic Four? Ghost Rider? Where is the love for the other Marvel characters? Are they afraid they would hype the characters for other studios? If that's the reason, I don't see a reason. Was the first Iron Man that successful because of the animated movie a year prior? Hell no. Was The Avengers successful because of the 3 Avengers animated movies? Again, hell no. So, Marvel, where are the rest of the characters? You kill it in the live action department, but in animation, you suck.
Rogue: You don't know, or you don't care?
Logan: Pick one.
X-Men
