Seriously, it didn't work with Will Smith, Kevin Kliene, Branua, etc.
Why on earth would it work with Josh Brolin, John Malcovich, and Jennifer Fox.
This is literally the same movie (are the graphic novels related?).
Southern General Rises again, Builds doomsday Weapon, President Grant hires lawman to stop him.
Just not very good.

I would agree it was better, but the similarity in plots is undeniable.

Yeah, they basically took the story from the Wild Wild West film and replaced Will Smith and Kevin Kline with Josh Brolin and Megan Fox. Brolin is perfect as Jonah Hex, unfortunately, the script was a piece of crap. I hate when they take great characters like Jonah Hex and throw them in a piece of crap movie. There's no reason why Warner shouldn't have put some effort into this film and hired a halfway well known director and got a decent script. If this film had been made by another company, they would have gotten sued for copyright infringement with its similarities to Wild Wild West. Since Warner owns both, they can copy all they want. They could have at least ripped off one of their good films.
