<p dir="auto">I'm more interested in seeing this because of Guillermo del Toro over anything else. Would I understand it if I didn't see the first one? Is the first one just worth seeing no matter what?</p>

<p dir="auto">It's not nessecary to see the first one, unless you want to know the fate of Blade's mother. The main villain of the first one is briefly referenced. Part 2 picks up where the first one left off, Blade mentions that in this movie, he also recaps his life story leading up to the events of the second film.<br />
