In the German translation, Ozymandias not simply says: "Do you think I would tell you my plan, if you could do something against it." (or what he said exactly), but
"Do you think I am a republican serial killer, who tells you his plan, so you can do something against it?" (in German of course )
Everytime I witness sth., I always ask myself, what has the dubbing team thought about it? For me, it is unbelievable, how people can do sth. and I cant understand, why they do so.

Oh, thank you very much. That makes much more sense. The German dubbing team didnt seem to have understood this line. Ozymandias said "republikanisch" which refers to the republic and the US party and "Serienkiller" which means serial killer in the sense of someone who kills people in a row following a special pattern.

Yes, in the book, Ozymandias says, "Dan, I'm not a Republic
Serial
villain." With serial emphasized.

Isn't it a reference to the villains in Republic serials, e.g. Drums of Fu Manchu or Dick Tracy or Zombies of the Stratosphere? I think you're mis-re-translating.
