I was just thinking, since the hulk-outs were supposed to cure his injuries, maybe the girl could have just made Banner angry so he could hulk-out again. Then it might take at least one more hulk-out to fully heal him so he will live. But since Banner just gave in to his injuries, I guess there was no chance.

I've got to admit - that was some clever editing of the death scene, scenes from the series premiere, etc. However, in the original Death of the Incredible Hulk, Banner dies at the finale. I agree with you, though - I wish Bill Bixby was alive, too.

Well, he actually boards into a plane that's full of explosives and takes off, and then one of the terrorists who are also on the plane fires a machine gun and the plane explodes. Hulk falls to Earth, and the combination of the explosion and the injuries from the fall eventually kill him, but he reverts back to David Banner and sees the woman he has fallen in love with one last time, before he dies.

I've heard he falls out of a hellicopter (he's very injured before said fall), then a woman calms green-skin down, so he reverts to Banner. Then David dies.
