This might be the episode called "Microboy." It's about a student who falls in love with Lana. He uses a machine to infuse himself with microwave radiation and give himself super powers to be more like Superboy. He wears a really cheesy pink and yellow costume, but he does have a yellow rubber mask, that I guess resembles Fate's hlmet.
