Assume for a moment Thor fought the Savage Hulk and Wolverine fought the Bannerless Hulk. Essentially having the Hulks each other fought being the one from the other short. Do you think the result would be different? Do you think we would acutally have had a decent fight between Thor and the Hulk? Do you think Marvel would have Wolverine come across as totally ineffective against the "rage incarnate" Hulk? Or do you think Wolverine would still have been portrayed as effective against the Bannerless Hulk as he was against the Savage Hulk and Thor and Hulk would still be slow as snails against each other with Thor serving as a punching bag for one reason or another against the Hulk even if not under Loki's control?

Marvel won't dare let one of its two favorite cash cows be depicted as ineffective against an enemy that clearly outclasses him. Hell, they would let Wolverine beat Thor even though logically Thor should be able to dispatch Wolverine with relative ease.
I can only hope a better fight would have been had from watching Thor fight "regular" Hulk, even though there's still no excuse for making Thor look like a pushover against "Bannerless" Hulk - other than the writers & producers behind these features just don't understand Thor very well beyond what they may have read about him at Wikipedia.
