This show is supposed to take place one year after the death of Norman Osborn, meaning one year after the first movie. In this show, Dr. Connors becomes The Lizard and falls to his death (unless he didn't die from a fall of at least 50 stories or so). Then in Spider-Man 2, Dr. Connors is Peter's professor again, at a different university, and he has one arm, meaning he obviously hadn't become The Lizard yet. What's the deal? I thought the New Animated Series was supposed to be fill-in for between the first two movies, but this doesn't make any sense.

It follows the first film, but the second film ignores this series. Same thing happened with Ghostbusters.
Think of this as an alternate "Spider-Man 2." Besides, the way this ends, Spider-Man 2 seems like a rehash with him giving up being Spider-Man again.
