It was refreshing to have a bit of humor in a Star wars film, and the characters were more approachable than the stiffly written prequel ones.
In retrospect, I actually prefer the prequels now because they had a great cohesive plot. It was just executed badly in a lot of areas.
The sequels were kind of the opposite.
OG trilogy remains the best

They jumped the shark when they liked The Force Awakens.

The only thing I like from them is Mr. Plinkett and his SW reviews which make sense.

And yes, even "woke" people can criticize low quality pandering tripe. I guess depending on how you define woke. That term has been bastardized to death. That and SJW can mean tumblr style nitpickiness or just being progressive on aociao issues.
